much thanks for the FanLit link! i’m right there with you hoping i can get the file on your MP3 player (after all, i did just spend ~1000 words praising the portability of audio fiction). am turning my dicey computer talents onto turning the WMV into an MP3 and putting it up on the site somewhere stay tuned!

At the beginning you sounded like you were reading from a script but then it started to get a bit more natural sounding. I suppose you were getting slightly more relaxed at that point.

I mainly listen to audiobooks due to a longish commute, lots of laundry to fold, and carpools. And I don’t watch TV. I’m so busy these days that it’s the only way I can read fiction. (That’s also why I haven’t read Spellwright yet.)

very glad you enjoyed mark’s performance. and i completely understand about the need to find readers whom you like. i notice on auidlbe, that a lot of people browse books by reader rather than by author. makes a fair amount of sense. there are many actors who bother me so much i would not go see them in a movie no matter how good the script. makes me wonder if the same thing happened for say, shakespeare.

as for the expected low & gruff voice, i get that a fair amount. esp when on pediatrics, when i deliberately try to speak softer
