Authorial Hijinks in the Spring
Dearly Beloved Y’all:
Surgery is upon me! One month of general surgery in the county hospital, two weeks of transplant in the university hospital, two weeks of cardiothoracic (aka heart surgery) at the VA hospital. As you might guess, I won’t be posting much on this blog during that time. For what’s been happening in my head and heart, please see the previous post. Meanwhile, the best place to catch up with me is my personal Facebook page. Sadly, for whatever reasons, I seem to have lost the knack for twitter. So…please forgive my neglect there. On a happier note, I am excited to announce three upcoming authorial events. Hope to see you at one of them.
March 21: KGB Fantastic Fiction Series
7PM, KGB Bar, 85 East 4th St, New York, NY
Featuring the incomparable Terry Bisson and Yours Truly.
April 17-20: Texas Library Association Annual Convention
Houston, TX, George R. Brown Convention Center
I’ll be on a panel about…dragons…what else April 19th, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.
June 21-26: American Library Association Annual Convention
Anaheim, CA, Anaheim Convention Center
I’ll be hanging out with the Tor Books crowd

Thanks,
Thanks,Is the simplest way to say it. I have had a this disability for some time. I had no clue that anyone had been so profoundly effected as myself. As you can clearly read I am no wrighter. There is no intent to mispell. It is from as you may have guessed dislexia and a combination of other learning issues/disabilities. Your books have given me a type of OK ness with myself, not a satisfaction but an okness, I work at the VA and found this to be cool also in addition to the chariture Franchesica’s and Nicodemu’s brand of humor fits me like my own skin. Lol. Seems someone else other than myself knows how to find humor in the most confounded/disorenting situations.
Thanks

You’re very welcome, Charles! And thank you for these very kind words. I’ll do my best to get the next book in the series out to you soon. I hope it works for you just as well.

Ah, if only my favorite authors could find their way to Hawaii… In any case, good luck and have fun, as long as you remember tropical islands aren’t out of the question either.

I’d love to find my way to Hawaii!!!
I’ve been to Kaui a few times with family, never thought of doing a book event there though. Maybe next time I will…

I also just finished reading Spellbound - it’s a great read, can’t wait for the next book! I gave it to a friend who had lots of problems with dyslexia as a kid and self-esteem issues as a result, and I think it’s been an eye-opener for her to read the book. (Extrapolating a bit here. Anyway.) You should definitely do a visit to the UK sometime (when you’re not so busy!), we’d be honoured!
